Realizing the long pending demand from industry, the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) launched a one year certificate programme in healthcare management. The certificate programme is a result of collaboration with Apollo Medskills.
The course will be launched in June 2016 and will be held at IIM-B's Bannerghatta campus. The 12-month part-time programme will be taught by a combination of academicians, and industry experts from the Apollo Group.
Professor Shyamal Roy, chairperson, executive education, IIM-B, said, "Over time, IIMB has developed an expertise in offering long-duration certificate programmes for working professionals”.
"There was a long pending demand from industry to start a programme focused on healthcare as well. I am, therefore, very pleased to announce the launch of this programme in partnership with Apollo Medskills. Healthcare is a rapidly growing sector of the economy. I am sure the sector will benefit immensely from this programme."
Clinicians wanting to pursue a career in hospitality management, professionals from allied-sector organisations like pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, clinical research and health insurance, and entrepreneurs and management consultants wanting to expand their operations are eligible to participate in the course.
