Job Purpose:

Salary Grade 7 - £32,600 to £37,738 per annum 

Fixed term contract for 60 months

You will investigate ‘Releasing natural variation in bread wheat by modulating meiotic crossovers’ using state-of-the art molecular and cytological approaches (BBSRC Lola grant BB/N002628/1). This is a five year post-doctoral position for an enthusiastic, motivated and high achieving individual. This is an integrated research programme that will be carried out in collaboration with the University of Bristol, University of Birmingham, University of Cambridge and the John Innes Centre, Norwich.

Qualifications and Experience:

You will hold a PhD in Molecular Genetics, Molecular Cell Biology or related subject and have extensive experience of molecular biology, as well as proven knowledge and experience of research field and fluorescence microscopy. 
You will be able to demonstrate research potential and enthusiasm for the subject area and show evidence of continued personal development of subject expertise.
You will use your leadership and problem solving skills to work as part of a team and deliver high quality research.
