Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is a public central university in New Delhi, India. In 2012, The National Assessment and Accreditation Council gave the university a grade of 3.9 out of 4, the highest grade awarded to any educational institution in the country.University is organised into ten schools, each of which has several centres, as well as four independent special centres. The objective of the founders was to make the university a premier institution of higher learning and to promote research and teaching leading to the increasing engagement of its students and teachers in higher level academic work and national and international policy making.
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts in the DBT funded Project titled "JNU-DBT National Training Facility for state of the art Equipment used in Biotechnology Research".
Position 1 : Technical Officer I
- No of Post : One
- Pay : Rs. 28,600 (consolidated)
- Desired Profile :M.Sc. in Chemistry/Life Science/Physics/Biotechnology with two years of experience or B.Tech in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Biotechnology with two years of experience or M.Tech in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Biotechnology with one years of experience in running scientific Instruments in laboratory
- Preferred : Experience in (i) Operation of Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) (ii) Sample preparation for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
Position 2 : Technical Officer III
- No of Post : One
- Pay : Rs. 31,200 (consolidated)
- Desired Profile : M.Sc. in Chemistry/Life Science/Physics/Biotechnology or B.Tech in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Biotechnology with six years of experience or PhD in Chemistry/Life Science/Physics/Biotechnology/Environmental Science with one year of experience in running scientific Instruments in laboratory.
- Preferred : Experience in (i) Operation of Flow Cytometer (FACS) (ii) Operation of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) instrument.

The selected candidates will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for a period of one year or till his/her services is required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.
