The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) was established by Government of India on February 3rd 1947 under the Ministry of Agriculture and later it joined the ICAR family in 1967. During the course of over 65 years the Institute has emerged as a leading tropical marine fisheries research institute in the world.

Nature and duration of the Post : 3 years; Purely temporary and will end with the termination of the project.
Age limit : 35 years for men and 40 years of women (age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC).
Emoluments : Rs.10,000 p.m. (consolidated).
Educational qualification Essential : Master’s degree in Biological Science with working experience in molecular biology techniques.
Desirable : Candidates with strong motivation and independent ideas preferred.
