National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is an autonomous centre of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India, aiming to be a world-class institution for coastal and marine area management. The Centre is established within the Anna University Campus, Chennai. Fourteen institutions have formed a consortium with NCSCM, with Anna University Chennai as the Hub.

National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is a research organisation of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The organisation is looking for the below mentioned Project Staff on Contract basis.
Post:1
- Position Name: Project Scientist III
- No of post:1
- Salary (INR pm) :50,000/
- Essential Qualification :: Master’s degree in Microbiology/Life Science from a recognized university/Institute with first class
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in sampling, culture, isolation and identification of microbes from coastal/ marine environment.
Post:2
- Position Name:Project Scientist II
- No of post:1
- Salary (INR pm) :45,000/-
- Essential Qualification /Experience/ Expertise required: First Class Master’s Degree in Marine science/Life Science/with 3 years of experience.
- Desirable: Ph.D. relevant to marine toxicology, Coastal bio-monitoring assessment, Cumulative Environmental Impact Assessment (CEIA)

- Position Name:Project Associate
- No of post:2
- Salary (INR pm) :30,000/-
- Essential Qualification /Experience:Master’s degree in Remote sensing / Forestry /Environmental Sciences/Botany or M. Tech in Geo informatics or equivalent with First class and one year of relevant research experience.
- Desirable: Experience in various remote sensing - GIS and statistical software. Good knowledge of mangrove and seagrass species and mapping procedures.

- Position Name:Senior Project Fellow

- Salary (INR pm) :18,000/-
- Essential Qualification /Experience: Master’s degree in Marine Sciences / Remote sensing / Forestry /Environmental Sciences/ Zoology/ Fisheries/ Botany/ oceanography/ Meteorology or M. Tech in Geo informatics or equivalent with First class and 2 years of relevant research experience.
- Desirable: Experience in various remote sensing - GIS and statistical software. Good knowledge of mangrove and seagrass species, Skin diving in coastal waters.

- Essential Qualification /Experience: First Class Post Graduate in Marine Biology/ Fisheries/ Life Sciences with 2 years of research experience in relevant subject. Desirable Qualification Ph.D.

- Position Name:Junior Research Fellow
- No of post:1
- Salary (INR pm) :16,000/-
- Essential Qualification /Experience: First class Master’s degree in Science relating to Inorganic chemistry/Environmental Chemistry / Marine Chemistry or its equivalent from a recognized University Desirable: Knowledge / Experience on seawater quality, trace metal and radiocarbon analyses, and maintenance of analytical Instruments.
