Senior Scientist, Microbial Formulation Development, RTP

If so, you could be our new colleague in Microbial Formulation Development based in RTP. The team will be responsible for development and scale up of new and innovative formulations of Novozymes’ microbial products (BioAg, Direct Fed Microbials etc.) in our soon to be established state of the art lab and pilot plant facilities in RTP.
Working with our customers and other international R&D units, you’ll have responsibility for developing new and improved microbial-based formulations for agricultural and animal feed applications. Alongside an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles of formulation technology and microbial applications, you also possess outstanding stakeholder management skills and strong personal drive. In your daily work, you’ll use all of these talents to pioneer research and transform it into business value for our customers.
In this position you need to:
- Have a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, Microbiology or related field
- Specialize in formulation development and microbial application
- Have an in-depth knowledge of formulation unit operations at pilot and industrial scale
- Be a proven team player with outstanding networking skills with the ability to communicate to various levels in the organization from Research and Development to Production
- Have demonstrated project management experience and have the desire to develop your leadership talents
- Be results oriented, like working with multiple tasks, and show initiative
- Be able to start this position in our Salem, Virginia location for a period of approximately six months prior to relocating to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
- Have the ability to work in the US now or in the future without sponsorship
