TECHNICAL ASSISTANT / IN WITH AN EMPHASIS ON Microbiology
Join our team on a responsible body and are responsible for the cultivation of microorganisms of the strain collection. You are a member of a team that is working on the identification and development of Enzymes and antimicrobial agents with potential applications in industrial Biotechnology, medicine and plant protection. Your tasks in this context are the isolation, fermentation and preservation of actinobacteria fungi and cyanobacteria as part of a natural product screening. In addition to carrying out the fermentation process (up to 10 L) They are also responsible for a first data analysis. Furthermore, the isolation of microorganisms from environmental samples fall within their remit.
What to bring
- A successfully completed vocational training to / for Biological technical assistant / biological technical assistants or to / for biology laboratory assistant / biology lab technicians or comparable skills and experience
- Working in accordance with "good microbiological practice" with bacteria (aerobic and anaerobic) and fungi are very familiar
- Experience in conservation technologies and keeping of industrial culture collections, as well as practical knowledge in conducting fermentations are beneficial
- They are characterized by dedicated and work independently as well as a structured way of working and assertiveness
- A safer handling of the PC is for you as naturally as very good English skills
