Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology.

Ph.D. under University of Mysore
CSIR-CFTRI is a recognized organization for doing Ph.D. degree in Science under the University of Mysore. Students can register for Ph.D. under Biochemistry, Bioscience, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition and Microbiology.
PhD Admission : Based on Notification from CSIR-CFTRI for Ph. D admission under AcSIR and Univ. of Mysore in April and September of every year, research fellows already joined and fresh students have to apply separately for AcSIR PhD (by online) and Univ. of Mysore PhD (by sending soft copy). Admission is based on interview of short listed candidates. Students can fill an option form on interview day for consideration to admission in either AcSIR or Univ: of Mysore, or both. Eligibility : For Ph.D in Science, M.Sc/ M.Tech in related field with any valid fellowship
How to apply :
Students can send one page soft copy of application with name, address, email, telephone, mark secured in Degree, category (If applicable), fellowship awarded with date and experience to the Ph.D. Coordinator (Univ.) in the contact email. Last date for submission of application is 21st October 2015. Original certificates need to be produced at the time of interview, please visit the CSIR-CFTRI website for dates of interview
