The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.
About 80% of the Government health care services to the citizens are being provided free of cost.
Position I
Name of position: Pharmacist
No of Positions: 309 (SC-68, ST-19, OBC-A-31, OBC-B-22, UR-160 and PWD-9)
Remuneration: Rs. 16,860 per month.
Place of posting: Any Municipal Corporation/Municipality in West Bengal
Minimum qualification: The candidate should have Two years Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma) (ALLOPATHIC) recognised by the Government of West Bengal and registered as "A" category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council. Weightage will be given for higher qualification.
The candidates must have proficiency in Bengali and must have efficiency in computers including MS office and internet.
Age as on 1.9.2015: 40 Years
Position II
Name of position: Public Health Manager
No of Positions: 86 (SC-20, ST-5, OBC-A-9, OBC-8-6, UR-43 and PWD-3)
Remuneration: Rs. 25,000 per month
Place of posting: Any Municipal Corporation/Municipality in West Bengal
Minimum qualification:
- Graduation in Dental/Nursing or Master degree in Life Science (Life Science includes Botany, Zoology, Human Physiology, Micro- Biology, Biochemistry, Bio-Technology, Bioinformatics)/ Master Degree in Economics or graduation in Social Science with Masters in Public Health/ Community Health/ Preventive & Social Medicine or Graduation .in any disciplinewith MBA in Human Resource!Health care.
- The candidates must have eff1c1ency in computers including MS office and internet.
Experience: 2 years post qualification experience in the field of health programme management in disease surveillance/ community mobilization/ inter Sectoral collaboration/ IEC- BCC Activities/ Quality Control/ Monitoring and Evaluation
Age as on 1.9.2015: 40 Years
Position III
Name of position: Urban Health Planning & Monitoring Manager
No of Positions: 9 (SC-2, ST-1, OBC-A-1 , OBC-B-1 and UR-4)
Remuneration: Rs. 22,000 per month
Place of posting: Any Municipal Corporation/Municipality in West Bengal
Minimum qualification:
- Graduation in Dental/Nursing or Master degree in Life Science (Life Science includes Botany, Zoology, Human Physiology, Micro- Biology, Biochemistry, Bio-Technology, Bioinformatics)/ Master Degree in Economics or graduation in Social Science with Masters in Public Health/ Community Health/ Preventive & Social Medicine or Graduation .in any disciplinewith MBA in Human Resource!Health care.
- The candidates must have eff1c1ency in computers including MS office and internet.
Age as on 1.9.2015: 40 Years
MODE OF SELECTION:
For all the above mentioned posts, applications will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying qualification and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be called for computer Test where computer Test is mandatory. Where computer test is not mandatory, the shortlist is the final merit list. In case of computer test, candidates must obtain at least 50% marks to qualify for the post. Final selection will be done on the basis of score of educational qualification, computer Test and experience (where applicable).
For all the above mentioned posts the applicants must be permanent resident of West Bengal.
