Central Avian Research Institute(CARI) was established on the 2nd November, 1979 at Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to provide all-round support to the growth of poultry sector. Since its inception, this Institute has been playing an important role by providing need based R&D support for diversified poultry production, processing and marketing, apart from Post-graduate education, training and technology transfer activities for augmenting productivity, production and profitability of the Indian poultry sector. The Institute remains responsive and vigilant to the ever evolving needs of the poultry sector through development of cutting edge technologies targeting specific problems faced by the industry.
A Walk in Interview for engagement of one SRF under DBT project will be held on 05.11.15 at 10.30 AM in the Committee Room of Admn. Block of this institute
Project title : Evaluating of probiotics, prebiotics and cynbiotics supplementation in low energy and low Protein feed for improved nutrient utilization and safe poultry meat production
Position : SRF

Nature of job : The project is envisaged for augmenting gut health through nutritional (prebiotics, probiotics and cynbiotics) intervention to improve their performance. The incumbent is expected to carry out part of the project objectives independently or to assist the scientists and other workers
Desired Profile :M.Tech/M.Sc degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equiavalent with NET qualified and two years of experience
Preferred : Well versed working experience in the area of Microbiology, molecular techniques, cDNA synthesis, purification, gel electrophoresis,western blotting, real time PCR and proficiency in computer application
Age : 18-35 years (relaxable to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per rule)
Pay : Rs. 28000/- + 20% HRA
