Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources.
A Walk in Interview is scheduled to be held on 28.10.15 from 10.00 AM onwards in the office of the Director, Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur for engaging research scholars on ad-hoc basis as detailed below :
Project title : Phytoremediation of soil for productivity enhancement during land disposal of effluent
Position :JRF
No of Post : 1
Pay : Rs 12000/- + HRA 15% (Candidates aged upto 30 years found suitable, may be selected for the position of SRF emoluments Rs 14000/- pm)
Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc in Environmental Science/Chemistry/Agriculture (Soil Science/Agriculture Chemistry)/Forestry with specialization in soil science/ecology
Preferred : Work related to survey, collection and analysis of water, soil and plant samples
Essential for SRF : 2 year research experience after post graduation
Project title : Induction evaluation and development of polyploids in Azadirachta Indica
Position : JRF
No of Post : 1
Pay : Rs 16000/- + HRA 20%
Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc in Agriculture/Botany/Biotechnology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Forestry
Preferred : Experience of work related to the selection of germplasm/plus trees, establishment management and evaluation of genetic tests/cytological work/biochemical analysis
Project title : Documentation of important research findings and technologies for applications to forestry in Rajasthan

Pay : Rs 14000/-
Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc in Botany/Environmental Science/Forestry
Preferred : Experience of research paper writing and completion of research work, knowledge of computer with evidence
Project title : Development of package for integrated management of insect pests and diseases (IPDMA) and improvement of planting stock material of neem (Azadirachta indica) through biofertilizers

Pay : Rs 25000/- + HRA
Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc in Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Pathology/Life Science with NET/GATE qualified
Preferred : Working experience with fungus and bacteria
