The National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research is a premier institute of India for research on exotic and emerging pathogens of animals. NIHSAD came into existence on 8th August 2014 as an independent institute under ICAR from its original status as High Security Animal Disease Laboratory (HSADL), a regional station of Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar.
Eligible candidates fulfilling the following requirements may attend the Walk in Interview on 26.09.15 at 10.00 AM at NIHSAD, Anand Nagar, Bhopal.
Project title : BBSRC-DBT sponsored Indo-UK collaborative project with Roslin Institute, University of Edinburg, UK titled "Identification of molecular basis of differential host response to rapidly evolving avian influenza virus in different avian species"
Position : RA

Desired Profile :PhD or M.Tech/M.Sc with 3 years experience in one of the following disciplines (Biotechnology/molecular biology/Genetics/Microbiology/Virology/Bioinformatics or any other equivalent Life Sciences discipline)
Preferred : The candidate should be highly motivated for doing research in infectious disease biology
and should have strong background in handling tools of molecular biology, virology, cell culture, lab animal experiments with basic knowledge of host-pathogen interaction
Emoluments : Rs 36000 to Rs 40000 + 20% HRA depending upon qualification
Age : 40 years for men and 45 years for women
Project title : 1) DBT funded North eastern region Biotechnology programme titled "DBT-NER Center for Advanced Animal Diagnostics and Services on Animal Health and Diseases (ADSAHD); 2) DBT-NER twinning project on "Viral Metagenomics profiling of native and migratory aquatic birds of north-eastern states to unravel influenza virus ecology harbored in them

No of Post : Two (One for each)
Desired Profile : M.Tech/M.Sc in one of the following disciplines (Biotechnology/molecular biology/Genetics/Microbiology/Bioinformatics or any other Life Sciences discipline)
Preferred : NET qualified (UGC/ICAR/ICMR/CSIR). The candidates should have strong background in handling tools of molecular biology, virology, cell culture, lab animal experiments with basic knowledge of host-pathogen interaction. Also candidates with experience in handling diagnostic realtime PCR, expression of recombinant proteins and infectious disease diagnosis will be preferred (Project 1). Proven experience in handling Bioinformatics tools and analysis of genomics and HTS data (Project 2)
Emoluments : Rs 25000/-+20% HRA (1st and 2nd year of the project as JRF) for Post Graduate in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate degree in professional course. If not, emoluments will be Rs 12000/- + 20% HRA
Age : 30 years for men and 35 years

How to Apply :
A written test may be conducted between 10.00 to 10.30 AM on the same day for screening of candidates before interview. The candidates should be present at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Bio-data in prescribed performa along with original certificates including NOC from his/her employer should be presented at the time of interview
