The Public Petition dated 11-11-1839 initiated the establishment of Madras University.The University imparts both Under Graduate and Post Graduate Education through the Affiliated Institutions which are spread over the districts of Chennai, Thrivallur and Kancheepuram. Apart from teaching, research activities in Arts, Humanities, Science, Management and Technology are the main portals at the University.
Applications are invited for eligible candidates for four positions of UGC-BRS research fellowships in Science and Meritorious students
Fellowship Name : UGC-BSR research fellowship for Science for meritorious students (RFSMS)
No of fellowship : Four
Tenure : Initially for 2 year and extendable for a further period of 3 years
Quantum of the fellowship : Rs 14,000/- + HRA and Rs 12000/- per annum as contigency grant
Desired Profile : M.Sc in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and
Zoology with a minimum of 55% marks. M.Phil Endocrinology will be an additional qualification.
Preferred : Candidates selected for registering to the PhD programme in the department of Endocrinology
