The National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research is a premier institute of India for research on exotic and emerging pathogens of animals. NIHSAD came into existence on 8th August 2014 as an independent institute under ICAR from its original status as High Security Animal Disease Laboratory (HSADL), a regional station of Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar.
Applications are invited for four (04) temporary positions, (one position of RA and two positions of SRF and one position of JRF) under the following ICAR/DBT funded research projects at NIHSAD, Bhopal. - Project 1 :“Outreach Programme on zoonotic diseases”
- Position :Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- No of Post : One
- Duration : Initially for a period of one year and extendable on the basis of the requirement of the project.
- Desired Profile : Master of Veterinary Sciences in Veterinary Public Health/Veterinary Microbiology/Veterinary Pathology/Veterinary Virology/Veterinary medicine with 4 year/ 5 year of Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred : Field exposure and willing to travel
extensively for collection of data and samples.
- Emolument : Rs.25,000+20%HRA for Ist and IInd year and Rs.28,000+20%HRA for IIIrd year based on review of performance
- Age : 35 years for men and 40 years for women
- Project 2 : National Fellow Project on ‘Development and evaluation of neuraminidase DIVA marker vaccines against highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza viruses in chickens'
- Position : RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
- No of Post : One
- Duration : Initially for a period of one year and extendable on the basis of the requirement of the project
- Desired Profile : Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Virology/Immunology or Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Virology/Immunology with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements.
- Preferred : Field exposure and willing to travel extensively for collection of data and samples.
- Emolument : Rs. 36,000 to Rs.40000+20% HRA depending upon qualification/experience.
- Age : 40 years for men and 45 years for women
- Project 3 : “CDDL Program on avian influenza”
- Position :Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- No of Post : One
- Duration : Up to 31.03.2016 (end of project)
- Desired Profile : Master of Veterinary Science (Microbiology/Bacteriology/Virology/ Immunology)/ Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Pathology/Veterinary Public Health with 4 year/ 5 year of Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred : Field exposure and willing to travel extensively for collection of data and samples.
- Emolument : Rs.25,000+20%HRA for Ist and IInd year and Rs.28,000+20%HRA for IIIrd year based on review of performance
- Age : 35 years for men and 40 years for women
- Project 4 : “DBT-NER Center for Advanced Animal Diagnostics and Services on Animal
Health and Diseases (ADSAHD)”
- Position : JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)
- No of Post : One
- Duration : Up to 31.03.2016 (end of project)
- Desired Profile :M.Sc. (molecular biology/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Genetics / Life Sciences)
- Preferred : Knowledge and experience in qPCR and other molecular biology techniques.
- Emolument : Rs.25,000+20%HRA (Ist and IInd year) for Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in professional course. If not, the emoluments will be Rs. 12000+20%HRA. (The emoluments will be revised after 2 years as per the DBT terms and conditions)
- Age : 30 years for men and 35 years for women (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt.rules)
