WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR JUNIOR/ SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS
The Central Silk Board (CSB) is a Statutory Body, established during 1948, by an Act of Parliament. It functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Eligible candidates are invited for walk-in-interview on 21.08.2015 for the post of one Junior Research Fellow and one Senior Research Fellow in the following CSB- sponsored research projects:
- Project 1 : Development of Fibroin Fusion Silk with Antioxidant and Antibacterial Properties
- Project 2 : Development of Transgenic Silkworm (Bombyx mori) for the Over-expression of Disease-Resistant Genes for Enhanced Immunity (In collaboration with Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore)
Position I
- Position : JRF
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile :M.Sc. Biotechnology / molecular biology/Biochemistry/Molecular Genetics/ MTech Biotechnology with minimum of First Class (60% marks for general; 55% for SC/ST candidates) in all classes from 10th to MSc/MTech.
- Preferred : Preference will be given to the candidates who have cleared CSIR/UGC NET
- Fellowship per month : Rs.12000/- +HRA
- Age limit : 28 Years; Relaxation as per Govt. rules
- Duration : 4 Years
Position II
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile : Two years research experience after MSc Biology/Biochemistry/Molecular Genetics/ MTech Biotechnology with minimum of First Class (60% marks for general; 55% for SC/ST candidates) in all classes from 10th to MSc/MTech. (60% marks for general; 55% for SC/ST candidates) in all classes from 10th toMSc.
- Preferred : Preference will be given to the candidates who have cleared CSIR/UGC NET and publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Fellowship per month : Rs.14000/- +HRA
- Age limit : 32 Years; Relaxation as per Govt. rules
- Duration : 3 Years
Important points:
- Age limit : 28 and 32 years as on 21/8/2015 (relaxation of 5 years for scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes/OBC, physically handicapped and female applicants).
- No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
- The above mentioned positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and are coterminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
- Incomplete documents will summarily be rejected.

- Venue: Seri-biotech Research Laboratory, CSB - Kodathi Campus, Carmelaram P.O, Kodathi, Bangalore - 560035, Karnataka.
The interview will be conducted at the Laboratory Campus at Kodathi from 10 AM. The
eligible candidates are advised to be present at the venue by 9.00 AM with originals and
attested photocopies of all certificates and Degrees from 10th onwards. No admission will
be allowed after 12 Noon.
