The Department of Biological sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) at IIT Kanpur was established in September 2001 with the aim of providing a multidisciplinary research and teaching program in modern biology and bioengineering. The department offers both undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate programs (M.Tech and Ph.D) and the faculty conduct research in diverse areas of basic and applied biology. Research interests of the department include cell & molecular biology, genetics & developmental biology, structural & computational biology, Bioinformatics, bioremediation, tissue engineering and bioprocess engineering.

- Desired Profile :B.Tech / M.Sc.
- Preferred : Candidate having Master’s degree in Microbiology and having more than two years of experience of work in the field of sampling and analysis of water for drinking and perform various experiments to tested different parameters with knowledge of handling and assisting Instruments(PH meter, turbitory meter, ICPMS,ball mill, e.tc) in the lab and administrative related works is preferable.
- Salary Range : Rs. 15000-1500-30000.
- Duration of appointment : The post is purely
temporary in nature and is for the duration of eight months.
