Walk in Interview for two JRF posts at National Research Centre for Banana, Trichy

National Research Centre for Banana was established on 21st August 1993 at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu by ICAR, New Delhi with an aim to increase the production and productivity of banana and plantains through mission mode basic and strategic research approaches. The Centre works on four major thrust areas of research viz., Crop Improvement, Crop Production, Post Harvest Management and Crop Protection. It has well-equipped laboratories for tissue-culture, bio-technology, soil science, nutrient management, physiology, Biochemistry, entomology, nematology, fungal, bacterial, viral pathology and post harvest technology research.

Walk-in-Interview for the selection of Junior Research Fellow (Two posts) on contractual basis under the DBT funded project entitled “Molecular Approaches for the control of Odoiporus longicollis (Oliver), a major pest of Banana” is scheduled to be held on 27.07.2015 (Monday) at 11.00 AM. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Eligible candidates may attend the Walk-in-Interview at the above address.

  • Desired Profile : First class in M.Sc. (Biotechnology) / Microbiology with NET qualification or PG Degree in Professional Course

Candidates attending the Walk-in-Interview should neatly type the application in the format prescribed in MS-WORD – TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT – 12 SIZE and submit the same along with attested copies of educational qualifications, experience and publications etc. at the time of attending the Walk-in-Interview. Original certificates should also be brought for verification at the time of Walk-in-Interview. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he / she is employed elsewhere.
