The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a 'Deemed-to-be-University' under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines. The growth of India's Agriculture during the past nearly 100 years, is closely linked with the researches done and technologies generated by the Institute. The Green Revolution stemmed from the fields of IARI.
The Head, Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi intend to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of JRFs in ICAR-funded project purely on contractual basis. The details of the posts are as follows:
- Project title : CRP -Biofortification in selected crops for nutritional security (rice, wheat, maize and pearl millet)
- Position : JRF
- No. of Vacancies : 9
- Desired Profile : Post Graduate Degree in Genetics and/or Plant Breeding Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Botany
- Preference : Research experience in application of molecular markers
- Pay : Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA (pre-revised)
