Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory (HPL) was established in 1975 under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, as a quality monitoring apex body. It is situated at Central Govt. Offices Complex No. 1, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad. It's main functions are to set standards and testing of homoeopathic medicine at national level. It is an approved laboratory under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 with duties and functions of Central Drugs Laboratory for homoeopathic medicine under Section 6 of the Act and Rule 3A and Sub-Rule 7.
Position 1
Job Title : Director
Eligibility : Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics or Botany or Microbiology or Pharmacognosy or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Biochemistry or M.Sc. in Drug Assay from a recognised University or institute
Experience : Ten year's experience in a Pharmacopoeial Laboratory or in any other recognised research institution engaged in research on crude drugs or testing and standardisation of Homoeopathy drugs (including experience in setting up and running a laboratory) including five years' experience of guiding or directing research in Homoeopathy.
OR
Eligiblity : doctorate degree in relevant subject mentioned as essential educational qualification
Experience :
- two years administrative experience in a research or analytical laboratory and coordinating the activities of different branches of the laboratory.
- two year's experience of manufacturing of drugs used in Homoeopathy.
Salary : band-3, Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 6600/-
Position 2
Job Title : Deputy Director
Eligiblity : Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics or Botany or Microbiology or Bacteriology or Pharmacognosy or Biochemistry or Pharmacology or M.Pharma or M.Sc. Drug Assay from a recognised University or institute.
Experience : Five years' experience in analysis or testing or standardisation of Homoeopathic drugs (as evidenced by publication) in a Pharmacopoeial or Pharmaceutical Laboratory.
OR
- doctorate degree in the relevant subject mentioned as essential educational qualification at (i) above;
- publication of papers on standardisation of drugs; and
- one year administrative experience in running a laboratory and coordination of activities of dif¬ferent branches of the laboratory.
The pay and other terms and conditions of the official selected will be governed by the provisions laid down in Govt, of India.
