National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
The following positions are to be filled up on purely temporary and contract basis for a period of one year in the project entitled “Monitoring the Therapeutic Efficacy of Antimalarial Medicines in India”
- Position : Project Manager
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile : MD or Ph.D in Life Science and Research Experience in Vector Borne Diseases especially malaria. Experience in handling of Projects related to Vector Borne Diseases/infectious disease with at least 2 years. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
- Stipend : Rs. 50,000/- p.m. including all allowances
- Job Requirement : To coordinate between field sites and Central Monitoring Unit and also monitor /supervise the
activities of the Central Monitoring Unit, drafting reports and publications etc.
- Age : Below 65 Years
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile : Post Graduate Degree in basic Sciences with NET or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with two year experiences, Knowledge of Computer Applications.
- Stipend : Rs.36,400/-p.m.including HRA
- Job Requirement : He/She will be responsible for field visit, coordination between sites and Central Monitoring Unit and also responsible for bench work related to molecular studies etc.
- Age : Below 35 Years
