BACKGROUND :
- The Symposium cum Workshop is a platform for discussion of recent advances in Computational Biology and Computer Aided Drug Design. The workshop has been designed to provide the theoretical background as well as a hands-on approachto Molecular Docking and Virtual screening. The workshop will also cover the use of different software and will focus on lead identification and optimization.
- The Symposium cum Workshop is organized by the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, jointly with Schrodinger Inc. USA from 24-26 June 2015. It is being held at IIT Guwahati.
REGISTRATION : There is no registration fee. However, Rs. 1000 caution-money has to be sent by the provisionally selected participants, which will be returned only when participant joins the course. The caution money demand draft in favour of Registrar, IIT Guwahati must reach us within 15 days of intimation of acceptance. If no caution money is received, the participation may be offered to waiting list applicants. Moreover, participants need to
pay actual charges for accommodation in guest house/hostel, if they need accommodation in IITG Campus.
IMPORTANT DATES :
- Application starts: 01 April, 2015.
- Deadline for application: 25 May, 2015.
- Intimation of selection by e-mail: 26 May, 2015.
- Last date of receiving caution money: 10 June, 2015.
- Second list of selection intimation by e-mail:12 June, 2015.
Selection criteria : Criteria of selection are decided based on academic and research qualification and decision of coordinators will be final. List of selected candidates will also be posted on http://www.iitg.ernet.in/biotech/. Also visit website for any future update.
