Recruitment for RA post under "Short-Term Research Fellowship" programm @ NIPGR

The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (formerly known as National Centre for Plant Genome Research) is an autonomous institution aided by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The Institute's establishment coincides with the 50th anniversary of India's independence as well as birth anniversary of Prof. (Dr.) J. C. Bose. The formal announcement was made on November 30th 1997. This Institute has already placed India among the major contributors to plant genomics.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up one position of Research Associate (RA) in the Institute with Dr. Ashverya Laxmi, Scientist, NIPGR, in the scheme of "Short-Term Research Fellowship" programme. 

  • Position : Research Associate
  • No of Post : One
  • Description : The candidate will be working towards understanding Glucose-brassinosteroid signaling interaction in model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. The position is completely on temporary basis with maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority. 
  • Desired Profile : Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences are eligible to apply. Experience of working with

    Arabidopsis molecular biology, physiology, genetics and Cell Biology is highly desirable.

  • Fellowship : The Fellowship amount for the position will be given at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST.
