The Indian Registry of Pathology (IRP) was established in 1965 under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in New Delhi, India as a Centre for collection and distribution of teaching material in pathology. The Registry was renamed in 1980 as the National Institute of Pathology (IOP) in view of its expanded scope and activities
Applications are invited for filling up posts of Research Associate II and Junior Research Fellow (one each) in a DBT sponsored multi-institutional project entitled “Centre of Excellence onMultidisciplinary Approaches Aimed at Interventions against Mycobacterium tuberculosis” Phase-II. on contract basis under Principal Investigator Dr. Nasreen Z. Ehtesham, Scientist ‘F’, National Institute of Pathology (ICMR) as per the details given below :
- Position : Research Associate II
- No of Post : One
- Nature of Post : Temporary, initially for a period of one year which may be extended maximum up to five years subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
- Salary : Rs.38000/pm plus HRA @30%
- Desired Profile : PhD degree in any area of life
sciences from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.
- Preferred : Preference will be given to candidates with : Evidence of publications in peer reviewed biological / medical science journals; Experience of working in the area of infectious disease; Experience of TB research will be an added advantage.
- Age : Up to 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. rules and also for deserving candidates).
- Position : JRF
- No of Post : One
- Nature of Post : Temporary, initially for a period of one year which may be extended maximum up to five years subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
- Salary : Rs.25000/pm plus HRA @30%
- Desired Profile : Post Graduate Degree (PG) in Basic Sciences 1st class (M.Sc.) or Graduate Degree in Professional Courses 1st class B. Tech. degree or equivalent. NET / GATE qualified
- Preferred : Research experience and good working
knowledge of molecular biology / immunology will be added advantage
- Age : Upper age limit is 28 years and is relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules
