Three JRF vacancy notification @ Forest Research Institute | Position : JRF

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources.

Walk- in- interview for the following position purely on contractual basis under the Externally funded projects will be held on 10th April, 2015 at 09:00 AM onwards in the Board Room of FRI main building, P.O. New Forest, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun -248006.

  • Project detail : Evaluation of antifungal properties and chemical characterization of active principle (s) of Berberis aristata D.C. collected from different provenances of Himachal Pradesh PI: Dr. Rashmi, Scientist –D, Chemistry Division
  • Position :JRF
  • No. of Vacancies : 1
  • Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc. in Ag.

    (Plant Pathology)/ Microbiology/ Forestry

  • Preferred : M.Sc. thesis/ project report on antifungal testing of botanicals especially for candidates with M.Sc. forestry background. Working knowledge of chemistry
  • Stipend: Rs. 16,000 + 20% HRA pm.
  • Project detail : Development of tissue culture protocol for propagation and conservation of Ginkgo biloba L PI: Dr. J.M.S.Chauhan, Scientist-C, Tissue Culture Discipline, G&TP Division 
  • Position : JRF
  • No. of Vacancies : 1
  • Desired Profile : 1st Class M.Sc. in Biotechnology
  • Preferred : Candidate having at least six months experience in plant tissue culture will be preferred
  • Stipend: Rs. 12,000 fixed
  • Project detail : Development of tissue culture protocol for propagation and conservation of Ginkgo biloba L PI: Dr. J.M.S.Chauhan, Scientist-C, Tissue Culture Discipline, G&TP Division 
  • Position : JRF
  • No. of Vacancies : 1
  • Desired Profile : 1st Class M.Sc. in Chemical Biology
  • Preferred : Candidate having experience of one year

    working in a chemical laboratory will be preferred

  • Stipend: Rs. 12,000 fixed

The interested and eligible candidates must bring the copy of bio-data along with recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all educational certificates and relevant documents for submission to the office of Research & Coordination Section, P.O. New Forest, FRI, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Candidates are requested to report at 9.00 A.M. No separate letter will be issued for attending the interview
