The Central University of Bihar (CUB) is one among the sixteen newly established Central Universities by the Government of India under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009).In the last Academic Year i.e. 2012-13, seven new Masters Programmes namely Life Science, Economics, English, Hindi, Political Science & International Relations, Sociology and M.Tech. in Computer Science were started. The University has offered conducive environment, adequate infrastructure support and innovative pedagogies to nurture the students who have joined the University considering unique characteristics of its courses and pedagogy.
Applications are invited for one JRF position in the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS)- Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) sponsored research project (No. 35/14/14/2014-BRNS) at Central University of Bihar, Patna, on purely temporary basis, co-terminus with the duration of the project.
- Project title : Genetic improvement of Makhana (Euryale ferox salisbury) through gamma radiation.

- Desired Profile : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant breeding/Life sciences/Botany/Biochemistry
- Preference : Working experience in the area of molecular markers and plant physiology.
- Stipend : Rs 16,000 p.m. for first two years, and Rs 18,000 p.m. after the completion of two years.
- Duration : Total duration of project is 3 years
