Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources.
It is proposed to conduct a Walk-in-interview on 16.03.2015 at 9.00 AM onwards to recruit Junior Research Fellows/Project Assistants for the research projects funded by ICFRE & ITC and HADP. Interested/eligible candidates are requested to attend the walk-in-interview on the above date at Institute of Forest Genetics & Tree Breeding, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore – 641 002 (Tamil Nadu).

- Desired Profile : 1st Class Master Degree in the following disciplines Botany/ Life Science/ Forestry
- Age : 28 years as on 16.03.2015 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).
- Position : Project Assistant
- No of Post : 1
- Stipend : As per project sanction.
- Desired Profile : B.Sc/M.Sc degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Botany.
- Preferred : Research experience in the field of Mycorrhizal fungi and Plant Growth promoting Rhizobacterias (PGPRs) with specific reference to the techniques of isolation, identification and culture production. Candidate should be able to stay and undertake field works in the Nilgiri Hills, Tamilnadu.
