"Huntington’s disease" research project at IIT Kanpur calls for one JRF post

The Department of Biological sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) at IIT Kanpur was established in September 2001 with the aim of providing a multidisciplinary research and teaching program in modern biology and bioengineering. The department offers both undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate programs (M.Tech and Ph.D) and the faculty conduct research in diverse areas of basic and applied biology. 

Applications are invited for one post of “JRF” for a DBT sponsored project “Synthesis, characterization and delivery of nano particles containing peptide inhibitors of poly glutamine aggregation in Huntington’s disease”.

  • Project title : “Synthesis, characterization and delivery of nano particles containing peptide inhibitors of poly glutamine aggregation in Huntington’s disease”.
  • Position :Junior Research Fellow
  • Desired Profile :M.Sc.(Biotechnology) with NET qualification
  • Preferred : Sound knowledge and 3 years experience in expression and aggregation kinetics of poly-Q Protein

    using biophysical and biochemical techniques.

  • Emoluments : Rs. 16000 consolidated.
