Research Associate recruitment at CARI, Port Blair | Attend the Walk in

REALIZING the importance of Island Agriculture to meet the requirements of local population and tourists, Indian Council of Agricultural research (ICAR) established Central Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair on June 23rd, 1978 by merging different regional research stations of ICAR institutes located in Islands. The ultimate aim of CARI is the developments of island agricultural production technologies which utilizes the strengths of the island and convert the constraints in opportunities, without causing any ill effect to the fragile ecosystem of the island.

The candidates who have the required qualification may appear for walk-in-interview for the below given posts on 24/01/2015 at 10.30 am at Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Garacharma, Port Blair. They should bring one complete copy of their attested certificates along with original

• Position : Research Associate
• No of Post : One
• Project : Foot and Mouth Disease control programme
• Desired Profile : PhD or M.Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Science with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/associateship/training/other engagements
• Preferred : Specialization in elisa for disease diagnosis
• Emoluments : Rs 23000/- pm for M.Sc degree holders

  and Rs 24000/- for PhD holders + 20% HRA 

• Age : Below 40 years of age for men and 45 years for women with 5 years relaxation to SC/ST and 3 years relaxation for OBC

Conditions:

• Candidates should bring their original and attested copies of certificate of all documents supporting their educational qualification and experience at the time of Walk-in-Interview. 
• Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. 
• The above positions is purely temporary and will be filled on contract basis
• There is no provision of re-engagement after termination of the project. 
• The PI of the project has sole right to terminate the staff if his performance is consistently below average or such other reason deemed to be fit. 
• All eligible candidate are requested to be present 01 (One) hour before scheduled time on the date of Interview for necessary formalities. 
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 
• The decision of the Director, CIARI, Port Blair will be final and binding in all respects
