The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as one of the eight such colleges aimed to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country and to foster national integration.It is a fully-funded premier Technological Institution of the Government of India and is administered by an autonomous Board of Governors.
A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 5th February, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the office of the Head of the Department, Department of Biotechnology, NIT, Durgapur for the following position. The duration of the position is initially for one year and may be extended
- Project title : Role of 15-lipoxygenase In the pathogenesis of several diseases (Funded by DBT, Govt. of India)
- Position : Research Assistant
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile :M.Sc./M. Tech. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology or an allied area. Minimum one year Research experience in Cellular and molecular biology is preferable.
- Emoluments : Rs. 8000/- pm
Terms and conditions:
- The above position is purely contractual, and for a period of one year and may be extendable. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates may appear for walk-in-interview with bio-data, passport size
photograph, original certificates and attested photocopies of all certificates.
- Candidates reaching after specified time may not be entertained.
