Award of Biotechnology overseas Associateship for the Scientists Working in
North Eastern States of India for the year 2015-16
Applications are invited from Indian nationals working in any of the North-Eastern States of India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Maghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) for the award of Biotechnology Overseas Associateship (2015-2016) under the special programme for the North Eastern States for cnducting research or training in overseas research laboratories in different ares of Biotechnology such as :
- Agriculture and Plant Biotechnology
- Medical Biotechnology and Healthcare
- Animal and Veterinary Biotechnology
- Marine Biotechnology and Aquaculture
- Bioenergy
- Food, Feed and Nutrition
- Environmental Biotechnlogy
- Industrial Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering
- Bioengineering and Biodesign
- Stem Cell Research
- Basic research in modern Biology
- Nano-Biotechnology
- Bioinformatics and ICT enabled Biotechnology
- Intellectual Property and Patent Law
- Systems Biology and Synthetic Biology
- Biomaterials
- Bioelectronics
Note :

Applicants should hold a PhD degree in
the areas of Life Sciences including Biotechnology or M.Pharma/M.Tech with 3 years of research experience.
- Applicants shouls hold a regular/permanent positions in Government recognized research and academic institutions/universities located in any of the north eastern states working continuously for the lsat two years and should be actively enagged in Biotechnology or related R & D work.
- Applications from persons working in temporary positions (eg Research Fellows and Associates etc) will not be considered.
- Preference will be given to the candidates who are permanently residents of the north eastern states.
