Bharathidasan University established in February 1982, and was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan. The research work going on in some of the departments and research centres Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics) are internationally recognized because of their high quality. Some of the research centres of the university are strongly supported by scientific agencies in India. The Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics is supported by DST and DAE and the National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria is supported by DBT.

- Tenure of the project : Two years or till the end of the project period.
- Position : Project Assistant (1 no.)
- Desired Profile : First class M.Sc. in Bioinformatics
/Microbiology/Biotechnology and other related decipline.
- Preferred : Experience in an area relevant (Molecular Systems Engineering) to the project.
- Fellowship : Rs. 5000 per month as per the UGC norms.
- Upper age limit : 28 years
