The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a 'Deemed-to-be-University' under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines. The growth of India's Agriculture during the past nearly 100 years, is closely linked with the researches done and technologies generated by the Institute. The Green Revolution stemmed from the fields of IARI.
Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-in-interview for the post of Senior Research Fellows and skilled assistants in CGIAR funded project as follows "
- Project title : Assessment of symbiotic nitrogen fixing potential and phosphorus use efficiency in chickpea lines/genotypes
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : 2
- Desired Profile : M.Sc. Microbiology/ Applied Microbiology; Good knowledge of computers and MS Office
- Preferred : Experience of field work and soil/plant/microbiological analyses
- Salary : Rs 16000 + HRA

The positions are purely temporary and can be
terminated on one month’s notice / Termination of the project. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this institute as the positions are purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
- Candidates are requested to bring 5 copies of duly filled biodata at the time of interview (format enclosed) along with the original certificates and attested photocopies of all requisite certificates
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
- Candidates without M.Sc. degree certificate/PDC (provisional degree certificate) for SRF and Matriculation certificate for skilled assistant will not be considered for interview.
