Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology.
CSIR-CFTRI invites eligible candidates to appear for a Walk-in-Interview for a position of Junior Research Fellow on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Identification and characterization of nutraceutically important phytochemicals from physalis minima and carissa spinarum fruits" (GAP-0448) funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi tenable at the Department of Plant Cell Biotechnology (PCBT), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore.

- Desired Profile : First Class M.Sc., degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ molecular biology/Zoology or any other
life sciences discipline with good academic record. With or without NET qualified for lectureship or GATE may apply. NET or GATE qualified candidates will be preferred. .
- Age : The candidate should be below the age of 40 years
- Fellowship : Rs.12,000 per month plus HRA as per DBT-CSIR Rules
Terms & Conditions:
- Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 9th January, 2015, i.e. the date of walk-in-interview for the position.
- The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
- The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the research project funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (GAP-0426) for a period from January, 2015 to May, 2017 and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
- The engagement under the project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
- No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
- Age limit shall be relaxable for statutory groups and women as per rule.
