Vacancy notification to recruit for JRF/SRF/RA in CSIR project at SCTIMST

Originally established by the Government of Kerala as an advanced centre for medical specialties, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) metamorphosed into an Institute of National Importance with the status of a University in 1980 under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India by an Act of Parliament (Act 52 of 1980). The joint culture of medicine and technology that the Institute pioneered more than three decades ago has come of age and gained unprecedented acceptance in India. 

• Project title : For a CSIR project ‘To Investigate the effects of short and long term administration of alpha-asarone on oxidative stress and anxiety alleviation in insomnia model in rats ’ P-8066).
• Position : JRF/SRF/RA
• No of vacancy : One
• Emoluments : JRF : Rs.16, 000/-; SRF : Rs.18, 000/-; RA : Rs.22, 000/-

Desired Profile : 

• JRF : 1st class MSc in Neurosciences/Physiology/Zoology/Biochemistry with NET qualified.
• SRF : 1st class MSc in Neurosciences/Physiology/Zoology/Biochemistry and 2 years experience as JRF with biochemical estimation.
• RA : Ph.D in Neurosciences/Physiology/Zoology/Biochemistry

Preferred :

• JRF : Experience in biochemical &

  antioxidant estimation

• SRF : Experience in biochemical & antioxidant estimation and ability to record electrophysiology signal and analyse signal.
• RA : Experience in sleep research, antioxidant estimation.

Those who fulfill the above requirements may report for a written test/interview as per the above schedule along with bio-data and original certificates to prove age, qualification, experience etc. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates reporting after 9.15 a.m will NOT be considered for selection. Candidates already in service have to produce a No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview
