inStem, Bangalore requires Postdoc in area of neuro development and synaptic plasticity

The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), is a state-of-the-art research institute in Bangalore, India, dedicated to the study of stem cell and regenerative biology. An autonomous institute funded by the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, inStem emphasizes collaborative research in stem Cell Biology. inStem’s mandate to allow this cross-disciplinary, multi-pronged approach to research, straddles the divide between clinical and laboratory research in stem Cell Biology. In trying to answer intractable and challenging questions that face the field, inStem seeks to rewrite the paradigm of the research institute: without barriers and across disciplines. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated post doctoral candidates to work in the area of neuro development and synaptic plasticity. 

  • Position : Post Doc Fellow
  • No of Post : One
  • Desired Profile : Candidates should have a PhD and experience in cell and molecular biology, prior exposure to neuroscience is welcome but not obligatory. 

    Following are some of the areas where we want the fellows to work

    • Role of microRNAs during neuronal differentiation and synaptogenesis
    • Techniques to study the activity mediated Protein synthesis in neurons/brain
    • Role of RNA granules in the pre and post synaptic plasticity
