The National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB) was established in 1985 with a vision to impart the Biotechnology advantage to the much-needed thrust to Indian Agriculture. The Centre had adopted relatively softer option of tissue culture based research in its infancy in view of the build-uptime required for a strong self-sustaining infrastructure. Today almost a decade later, it stands poised to deliver impact-making results of research being pursued in upfront areas of plant Biotechnology.

- Desired Profile : Ph.D. Degree in molecular biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ allied sciences; or M.Sc in Molecular
Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ allied sciences with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship / Training/ other engagements. Published research papers will be desirable.
- Desirable : Hands-on experience in molecular biology Techniques, plant tissue culture, genetic transformation and data analysis
- Salary : Consolidated Rs.24000/- for Ph.D. holders and Rs.23000/- for MSc holders + 30% HRA

- Project : ICAR-NPTC funded project: Fusarium wilt resistance and drought tolerance in chickpea. PI: Dr Srinivasan

Desired Profile : M.Sc. in molecular biology/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks
- Desirable : One year or more experience in molecular biology Techniques, plant tissue culture, genetic transformation.
- Salary : Rs 16000 +30% HRA
The interview will be held on 22nd December, 2014 (Monday) at 10 AM at NRCPB, LBS Building, Pusa Campus, and New Delhi-110012. A preliminary screening written test may be held (for SRF) and hence candidates should report for interview at 10 AM at NRC on Plant Biotechnology
