Central Institute of Fisheries Education is the premier National Fisheries University of India dedicated to development of quality human resources in frontier areas of fisheries and aquaculture. The institution was founded on 6 June 1961 under the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India and was subsequently included in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1979.

- Desirable : Master degree in Microbiology / fisheries Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Environment science. Proven work experience related to microbial cultivation, identification and activity demonstrated through research report, dissertation, or publication
- Preferred : Exposure on microbial diversity, cloning and sequencing would be added advantage.
- Salary : Rs. 16000 per month (Would be enhanced to new rates subjected to approval by funding agency). HRA in prevailing rate is admissible.

- Desirable : PhD Degree in Microbiology/ Fisheries Microbiology. Masters degree in Microbiology/ Fisheries Microbiology with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA with at least 2 years experience as evidenced from fellowship/ associateship/ training / other engagement will also be considered.
- Preferred : Proven work on microbial diversity studies. Good knowledge on microbial ecology. For masters degree holders for this post should have publication indicating work on microbial biodiversity and activity will be to their advantage
- Salary : Rs. 23000 per month in for Masters degree holders and Rs. 24000 for PhD holders (Would be enhanced to new rates subjected to approval by funding agency). Only HRA is admissible.
- Duration : 1 year, extendible up to March 2016
