National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
The following purely temporary position is to be filled up in ad-hoc project for the period of one year. The post is co-terminus with the project.
- Project title : Sequestration of carbon dioxide by chemolithotrophic bacteria in slurry bioreactor for production of biomaterials
- Position :Senior Research Fellow

- Desired Profile : Masters degree in life Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent with: Two years research experience in relevant field/ vector borne diseases/ GIS/ Remote Sensing.
- Emoluments : Rs. 23,400/- (Likely to be increase to 36,400/-)
- Age : 35 years
- Duration of project : up to Dec 2015
