Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is a public central university in New Delhi, India. In 2012, The National Assessment and Accreditation Council gave the university a grade of 3.9 out of 4, the highest grade awarded to any educational institution in the country.University is organised into ten schools, each of which has several centres, as well as four independent special centres. The objective of the founders was to make the university a premier institution of higher learning and to promote research and teaching leading to the increasing engagement of its students and teachers in higher level academic work and national and international policy making.

- Project :"Engineering broad-spectrum resistance against geminiviruses".
- Desired Profile : Eligible candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology and CSIR / UGC/ JRF or NET qualified. Candidates having research experience in the area of plant tissue culture / transgenic development with specialization on tomato regeneration and transformation will be preferred.
- Duration of the Project : The Project will continue till December, 2015. The above mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the laboratory for the entire period of the project.
- Emoluments : As per DBT rules and guidelines for JRF.
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : One
- Project : "Identification of host factors conferring natural resistance in paprika, red chilies, green chillies against Chilli leaf curl virus ".
- Desired Profile : Eligible candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology and CSIR / UGC/ JRF or NET qualified. Candidates should also have at least two years research experience after M. Sc. in works related to Molecular Plant Virology / Biotechnology.
- Duration of the Project : The Project will continue till July 2017. The above mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. Appointed person will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project.
- Emoluments : As per DBT rules and guidelines for JRF.
- Position : JRF
- No of Post : One
- Project : "Engineering ToLCV resistance in tomato by using single and multiple artificial micro RNAs and synthetic Rep gene containing multiple mutations to resist VIGS"
- Desired Profile : Eligible candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology and CSIR / UGC/ JRF or NET qualified. Candidates having research experience in the area of Plant molecular biology / Biotechnology / Virology will be preferred.
- Duration of the Project : The Project will continue till September 2017. The above mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the laboratory for the entire period of the project.
- Emoluments : As per DBT rules and guidelines for JRF.
