Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for 1 [One] position of Junior Research Fellow on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Search for novel antimicrobial and anticancer metabolites from marine bacteria" (GAP-0463), funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, New Delhi tenable at the Department of Food Microbiology, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, Karnataka.

- Essential Qualifications : First class M.Sc., in Microbiology/Biochemistry/molecular biology/Biotechnology with good academic records and should have been qualified for lectureship in National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR-UGC or ICAR-NET for lectureship or the candidates should have been holding valid GATE Score card.
- Consolidated Stipend per month : A Fellowship of Rs.16,000/- per month plus HRA as per Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES)-CSIR Rules.
Terms & Conditions:
- Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 08-12-2014 i.e. the last date of receipt of applications for the post.
- The engagement of JRFs is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
- The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India for a period of December, 2014 to September, 2017 and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
- The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
- No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
- The work involves field trip for collection of samples.
