Application required for Walk in Interview at JRF/SRF/Project Fellow at GBPIHED

G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development (GBPIHED) was established in 1988-89, during the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, as an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Govt. of India, which has been identified as a focal agency to advance scientific knowledge, to evolve integrated management strategies, demonstrate their efficacy for conservation of natural resources, and to ensure environmentally sound development in the entire Indian Himalayan Region (IHR).

Applications are invited for following project based purely temporary position. Desirous candidates fulfilling required qualification and experience may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 01 December, 2014 at Kosi-Katarmal, (Almora) campus of the Institute.   • Position : SRF
  • No of Post: One
  • Stipend : 15,000/- per month + HRA;
  • Upper Age Limit : 32 years
  • Desired Profile : First class masters degree in science with at least two years R&D working experience in the Himalaya

Preferred :

  • Conduct frequent surveys and interactions with educational institutes/officials in the region towards identification of young inventors.
  • Facilitate linkages between identified innovators and their respective mentors.
  • Organize winter and summer sessions for the inventors.
  • Prepare project documents and dissemination material
  • Position :JRF/Project Fellow
  • No of Post: One
  • Stipend : 16,000/-p.m. +HRA for NET qualified person (JRF) or 12,000/- p.m. +HRA (JPF)
  • Upper Age Limit : 28 years
  • Desired Profile : First class Masters Degree In Botany/Forestry/Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture with specialization in meteorology
  • Preferred : Preference will be given to candidates having experience on Phenology of Forests/Vegetation of Himalaya
  • Position : SRF/JRF
  • No of Post: One
  • Stipend : Rs. 12,000 for JRF& Rs. 14,000/-pm for SRF +HRA as per Institute norms. @Rs. 16,000/- for JRF& Rs. 18,000/- for SRF + HRA for NET qualified candidate.
  • Upper Age Limit : 32 years
  • Desired Profile : First class Masters Degree In Botany/Forestry/Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture with specialization in meteorology
  • Preferred : Working knowledge in hill farming system and/ or climate change issue in the Himalaya (2 years for SRF). Basic knowledge of computer is also required.
