Directorate of Wheat Research (DWR) through All India Coordinated Wheat and Barley Improvement Project (AICW & BIP) in its 42nd year of service, is coordinating the multidisciplinary and multilocational activities of varietal improvement, resource management and crop protection technologies across the diverse ecosystems for increasing and stabilizing the barley production. As a nodal institute, DWR facilitates planning, exchange of experimental material, monitoring the trial/activities, data compilation and documentation.
Selection of the candidates for Dissertation work shall be on the basis of applications received as per schedule below:
- Call for the applications (on attached Performa) : 15th November to 15th December, 2014
- Selection of candidates would be communicated by : 30th December, 2014
- Last date for receiving consent from the candidate for joining the scheduled dissertation work : 10th January, 2015
- In case of vacancy, waitlisted candidates would be informed by : 14th January, 2015
- Project work starts from : 15th January, 2015 onwards
Note :
- The application, along with a letter of endorsement from the college official authorized for the purpose, can be sent through email / snail mail. Applications would be scrutinized by the Committee on Academic Trainings taking into cognizance the merit and other details of the students.
- Fee charges for Dissertation work (4-6 months duration) would be 30,000/-. The demand draft shall be in favour of “ICAR Unit, DWR, Karnal payable at Karnal.
- During the project work, all the candidates will be required to abide by the rules and regulations of the Directorate and anyone found violating it should be liable to be expelled from the Directorate. No refund in such cases shall be made.
- The candidate should ensure by himself /herself the boarding and lodging.
