Applications are invited for the following temporary research positions to work in ongoing DBT-BBSRC sponsored research project entitled “Transcriptome Analysis in Indian buffalo and the Genetics of Innate Immunity” at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad.
- Position : Project Scientist 2.Research Associates 3.Sr. and Jr. Fellow
- Emoluments : Rs. 15600 + GP Rs. 5400 + 30 % HRA p.m. (Total emoluments will be Rs. 49,770/- p.m. for the duration of the project)
- Desired Profile : For position 1 : Ph.D/M.V.Sc/Masters with minimum 3 years experience; for position 2: Ph.D/ Masters in appropriate stream with 2 years experience; for position 3: Masters in appropriate stream.
- Background : Veterinary Microbiology/ Pathology/ Genetics/Reproduction/Public Health; Life Sciences, Biotechnology, molecular biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Systems Biology.
- Preferred : Research experience in the area of Tissue Culture, Genomics, Transcriptomics and Advanced molecular biology; in the area of next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, Genome wide association studies, Genomic selection, advance genomic data analysis etc.
- Eligibility : A good academic record and research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard refereed journals/patents for position of Project Scientist and Research Associates. Fresh candidates will be considered for the Fellowship Programs. All above positions involve travelling. Basic computer skills and knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of regional language is desirable.
