Applications for "i-fellowship" in medical technology innivation with international partners under School of International Biodesign (SIB), AIIMS
- Applications are invited for "i-fellowship" under Biodesign programme supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT),Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in collaboration with international partners and techno-legal activities management by Biotech Consortium India Limited, New Delhi
- About the i-Fellowship : i-Fellowship is an interdisciplinary,team based,experiential hands-on training program spanning over 12 months where physicians, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and researchers come together to identify needs of the healthcare system in India and develop an affordable solution
- "i-Fellowship" is being launched by AIIMS and IIT Delhi, in partnership with Stanford University, USA, Queensland University of Technology, Australia and partners from Japan.
- Eligibility : Candidates with graduate or postgraduate degrees (in Medicine,Engineering,Design) having passion for invention and early stage development of innovative medical technologies addressing the clinical needs in India are encouraged to apply. Applicants must devote 12 months for the "i-Fellowship" program which will involve travel to partner Universities/Institutions in Australia,USA or Japan in the optional second phase (for 3 months). Preference would be given to candidates who have demonstrated track record of innovation,frugal thinking,passionate about entreprenuership and are willing to work in a team for technology and product development. Shortlisted candidates will be called to New Delhi for interviews
- Benefits : i-Fellowship pays stipend, Cover tuition fees,travel and health benefits. i-Fellows shall be mentored by faculty members who are from industry,startups,academia and hospitals in India,Australia,USA and Japan
- Duration : 12 months, starting from January 2015 (Full time on year in India)
