The National Institute of Virology is one of the major Institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It was established at Pune, Maharashtra State in 1952 as Virus Research Centre (VRC) under the auspices of the ICMR and the Rockefeller Foundation (RF), USA. It was an outcome of the global programme of the RF for investigating the Arthropod Borne viruses.
The following vacancies shall be filled purely on temporary basis at renewable annually under Non-Institutional ad-hoc projects to be filled in through Walk-in Interview as indicated below:
- Project : Scaling of facilities for production of Diagnostic Kits/Reagents for Detection of JE, DEN, WN & Chikungunya Viruses.
- Position : Project Assistant
- No of Post : One
- Stipend : Rs.27,000/
- Desired Profile : Three years Bachelor degree in life sciences.
- Preferred : M.Sc. (Biological science). Laboratory experience in Cell culture/ Serology
- Age : Below 30 Years
