Postdoc in molecular immunology starting at Denmark Technical University

The National Veterinary Institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a position as postdoc in molecular immunology.

Responsibilities and tasks : 

  • The candidate will join the Immunology Section under the supervision of Dr Vasileios Bekiaris. The department has recently recruited a number of internationally recognized immunologists and aims to excel in basic immunological research by creating a collaborative and highly productive environment.
  • The project will investigate molecular pathways that regulate inflammatory lymphocytes and will utilize in vitro and in vivo models. More specifically the successful candidate will investigate the early events that occur during CD4 T cell differentiation and how these impact the development of inflammatory disease.

Qualifications : Candidates should have a PhD degree (obtained within the last 2 years) and demonstrable knowledge in a range of molecular, biochemical and immunological techniques such as multi-parametric flow Cytometry, ChIP, retro-viral transduction, Western blotting, proteomics, RNA extraction. Hands-on experience with mice and primary mouse lymphocytes is necessary.

Salary and terms of employment : The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The position is for one year.
