Job Title : Scientist - Application Microbiology
Job Description :
- R&D on microbiological aspects for product development.
- Responsible for microbial studies on product development including isolation, identification, maintenance and characterization of bacterial cultures and product development using microbial strains/by products.
- Defining the goals and objectives of assigned projects, setting deadlines and milestones, designing and supervision of experiments, documentation, reporting of results to director R&D regular meetings with external consultant and budget.
- Develop Assay methods and standardize protocols for study of novel Enzymes for bio-remediation and food applications.
- Build and lead a high performing application development team specialized in microbial techniques, ensuring that the required level of expertise is developed within the team to deliver a superior level of development capability.
- Responsible for assigning/delegation of tasks and follow-up on assigned tasks to achieve daily/ weekly targets or schedules with optimum utilization of resources.
- Review and counsel team on attendance, efficiency and Lab issues.
- Design and execute projects on enzyme/Protein production using microbial strains.
Technical Competencies :
- Proficient in working with microbial strains/Enzymes/proteins either at Masters level or during PhD
- Good in technical communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Good in experimental design, analysis and providing solutions
- Thorough in theoretical knowledge on environmental Microbiology/bio-degradation/Enzymes/proteins to guide team for product development.
- Proficient in microbiological techniques pertaining to isolation of microbes from environmental samples and identification, biochemical characterization, pure culture development and strain maintenance.
- Proficient in enzyme/whole cell Assay
- Experienced in using microbial strains for enzyme/Protein production at lab scale
- Efficient management of projects and team
Eligiblity : B.sc / M.ScMicrobiology
Experience : 2 years
