The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence which would endeavour to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine. It was also envisaged that these specialists would spread out in the country in various medical colleges and medical institutions and impart medical education of highest standard to the students and set up nucleus of excellence in their own institutions. 

Application are invited for the following posts under research project entitled "Combined use of novel diagnostic tools and strategic vaccination to control bovine brucellosis in endemic areas" funded by DBT-BBSRC, UK sanctioned to Department of Community Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh w.e.f.29.08.14 for three years

• Position : JRF
• No of Post : One
• Desired Profile : M.Sc in Life Science or equivalent (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology etc)
• Stipend : Rs 16000/- pm + 20% HRA

No allowance for travel/stay for interview are admissible. Post is purely temporary on contract basis upto 28.08.15. Last date for receipt of application with attested copies of all certificates is 06.11.14 till 4.00 PM in the Room No 103, School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The interview will be conducted on 07.11.14 at 11.00 AM in Committee Room, School of Public Health, PGIMER
