The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi.

- Desired Profile : Doctoral degree in any branch of Agriculture/Veterinary/Animal & Dairy Sciences/Food Science & Technology/Fisheries Science or related basic Sciences, or (ii) Master's degree in Agriculture/Veterinary/Animal & Dairy Sciences/Food Science & Technology/Fisheries Science or related basic sciences with first division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average (OGPA) with at least two years’ experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements.
- Emoluments : Emoluments for Masters' degree holders shall be Rs. 23,000/ per month and for Doctoral degree holders shall be Rs. 24,000/- per month consolidated plus HRA
- Tenure : Upto June, 2017
The eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at Jyotiba Phule Committee Room, Ground floor, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi - 110 001 by 10.00 A.M. on 05-11-2014 along with originals and attested copies of certificates, proof of age and NOC from the present employer, if applicable. Candidates reporting after 10.30 A.M. shall not be interviewed.
