Madras University is the mother of almost all the old Universities of southern India. The University area of jurisdiction has been confined to, however, 3 districts of Tamil Nadu in recent years. This is consequent to establishment of various universities in the State and demarcation of the University territories.

Fellowships amount : Rs.16000 + 30% HRA (for NET qualified) and Rs.14000
+ 30% HRA (for Non-NET candidates) for the first two years.
How to Apply :
Those who are interested and have a PG degree in the concerned/relevant subject can send their application along with bio-data and attested copies of mark sheets to the respective Heads of the Departments on or before 31-10-2014. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
